• Passive · Xuanyong Front Line — Skill hits or damage taken while braced build Momentum (up to 1000-4500); his empowered strike deals bonus damage scaling with Momentum. In Defensive Stance, his next basic attack consumes all Momentum for an empowered strike, and bracing reduces frontal damage, grants crowd-control immunity, and builds Momentum faster.
• 1 · Formation Charge — Charges in a direction for physical damage, knocking back the target at the end and building a large amount of Momentum; can be canceled into his 2. In Defensive Stance it no longer charges or knocks back but gets a much shorter cooldown and can change facing.
• 2 · Shield of Defense — Raises his shield into Defensive Stance, knocking back nearby enemies for physical damage; casting again exits the stance for a burst of move speed. While braced, takes 20% less frontal damage.
• Ultimate · Xuanyong Legion — Summons four soldiers to fight alongside him for 20 seconds; they charge in from four directions dealing physical damage and a scaling slow (up to 90%) based on his Momentum, and building more Momentum. Casting again reforms their formation for extra frontal damage reduction; the soldiers brace together with him in Defensive Stance.

Tip: His empowered strike grants hyper armor, so Shadowstalker Boots over Boots of Resistance is often fine — rush a Meteor early for damage and faster roams, then pivot into dual-resistance tank items as the game goes on to become the team's engage.

Build 2: Shadowstalker Boots → Giant's Grip → Shadow Battleaxe → Champion's Warplate → Sage's Sanctuary → Grandmaster's Might

Tip: The same hyper armor logic applies — prioritize a jungle item early for tankiness in small skirmishes, then round out into damage later for a hero who can both tank and deal damage.

Tip: Biron leans more bruiser than pure tank, so Mutation and Concealment are the standard, best-fitting picks — Mutation's stats boost his early-to-mid damage, while Concealment's move speed helps him roam or engage.
