• Passive · Empowered Buckshot — His shotgun fires four pellets — the inner two deal bonus physical damage, the outer two deal less; each pellet on a hero grants a stacking Combat Instinct buff (up to 12 stacks) that adds armor penetration. Only the inner two pellets can crit or trigger item effects, and buildings ignore the outer pellets.
• 1 · Double Tap — Gains 40% move speed for 1.5 seconds, and his next basic attack fires two shots, each dealing bonus physical damage.
• 2 · Lead from the Front — Charges in a direction, dealing physical damage and stopping on the first enemy hit; hitting a hero cuts this skill's cooldown.
• Ultimate · Win Over With Virtue — Instantly cleanses himself and gains a shield for 6 seconds, plus 3 seconds of crowd-control immunity; converts a portion of damage he deals to heroes (and a smaller portion vs. minions/monsters) into extra shield value, up to a cap, and also grants a temporary physical attack boost.

Build 1: Pursuit Edge → Boots of Haste → Shadow Battleaxe → Doomsday → Grandmaster's Might → Dawnbreaker

Tip: Liu Bei's range is short — Shadow Battleaxe gives him a base of HP so he isn't instantly deleted after closing the distance, and Grandmaster's Might pushes his burst even higher.

Build 2: Pursuit Edge → Boots of Haste → Shadow Battleaxe → Lightning Dagger → Blood-Weeping Blade → Champion's Warplate

Tip: Lightning Dagger's extra move speed helps him close the gap faster, and Champion's Warplate's execute effect lets him devastate the backline.

Inscriptions: Mutation, Hawkeye, Siphon

Tip: As a melee bruiser, his damage rises the closer he gets — heavy penetration and attack power let him clear the jungle fast, move speed lets him stick to targets with the red buff, and once his early burst is strong, attack speed pays off well from extra basic attacks in melee range.
